Ingredients

  • 1 (13.8 oz.) can ready-to-bake pizza crust
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 (8 oz.) ball fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup black olives

Instructions

  1. preheat oven to 400°F. spread dough onto a greased baking sheet and par-bake per package instructions, typically 8-10 minutes.
  2. remove crust from the oven and top with marinara and shredded mozzarella. return to oven and bake an additional 8 minutes.
  3. while the pizza bakes, prepare the toppings. to create the olive spiders, chop off the top ⅓ of a black olive and set aside to use as the “body.” thinly slice the remaining ¾ olive into small strips to use as the spider’s “legs.” repeat process with 5-10 olives. finally, take one olive and chop until fine (these bits will be used to make the ghost “eyes”).
  4. cut mozzarella ball into ½ inch slices. using a sharp knife, freehand cut a ghostly shape (it doesn’t have to be perfect!) and repeat with each mozzarella slice (save the extra bits of mozzarella to eat as a snack or throw in a salad the next day!).
  5. once cheese has melted and crust is golden brown, remove pizza from oven and add toppings, assembling as many spiders and ghosts as you’d like. slice and serve!
