Summary

pizza bagels are the quintessential after-school snack: they’re so quick and satisfying, and you can customize them with whatever toppings you like! this kid-friendly recipe could even be made in a toaster oven for little ones who aren’t quite ready to use the oven without supervision. for a less crusty bite, scoop a little bit of bread out of each bagel to create a well before piling on the sauce and shredded cheese.

Ingredients

  • 3 mini bagels
  • spritz of garlic-infused olive oil (or regular EVOO)
  • ⅓ cup marinara sauce
  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp. italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. preheat the oven to 400ºF.
  2. split bagels and arrange on a baking sheet. spritz with a bit of oil and toast in the oven for 3-5 minutes.
  3. once bagels are toasted, spread marinara on each half and sprinkle with italian seasoning before topping with shredded cheese. add any additional toppings of your choosing (pepperoni, sausage, pineapple.. the possibilities are endless!).
  4. bake for 10-12 minutes, until cheese is melted and bagels are toasty. for an even crispier bite, finish under the broiler for 2-3 minutes.
