Summary

pigs in a blanket are a midwest favorite (i can say that because when i visited the midwest, this was pretty much all we ate). for this recipe, we’re adding a spooktacular twist to a cult classic! these mummy dogs will have all of your ghouls coming back for more.

Ingredients

  • 6 hot dogs
  • 1 (8 oz.) tube crescent roll dough
  • mustard

Instructions

  1. preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. spread crescent roll dough onto parchment. with a pizza cutter (or sharp knife), cut dough into long, thin strips.
  3. wrap strips of crescent dough around each hot dog and pull dough taut to stretch- be sure to leave a small space (around ½ an inch) towards the top of the hot dog so you can put eyes on later!
  4. place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and cook 15 minutes until dough is golden brown.
  5. remove from oven and dot with mustard to make “eyeballs.” serve with ketchup.
