i love cookies ‘n cream, and i love muddy buddies… why not combine the two?! i was inspired by whisk away your worries’ recipe, but as cookie-loving girl, i couldn't resist adding more oreos. mix in some dark chocolate covered pretzels, black and orange m&ms, and candy corn to give this recipe the perfect halloween flare!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp. shortening
  • 8 oreos
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 6 cups Chex rice cereal
  • 1 (10 oz.) bag M&Ms (Halloween colors)
  • 1 (11 oz.) bag mixed candy corn & mellowcreme pumpkins
  • 1 (4 oz.) package dark chocolate covered pretzels

Instructions

  1. add oreos to a blender and pulse to crumble until fine.
  2. gather two large bowls and add a teaspoon of shortening to each. add white chocolate to one bowl, and semi sweet chocolate to the other. melt in the microwave at one minute intervals, stirring intermittently, until melted.
  3. add 3 cups of chex to each bowl of melted chocolate and stir to coat.
  4. gather two large ziplock bags and add ¾ cup powdered sugar and half of the crumbled oreos mixture to each, mixing to combine.
  5. pour white chocolate chex mix in one bag and semi sweet chocolate chex into the other. shake to coat with oreo and powdered sugar mixture.
  6. pour the contents of one bag into the other and shake again to mix together. i suggest double bagging this snack to avoid potential messes. enjoy!
