Recipe-

Summary

donuts are my favorite sweet treat ever, and my version is super easy and fun to make! this recipe uses an air fryer to make these homemade glazed donuts a bit healthier than the traditional. i love using neon food coloring in the glaze and adding cute sprinkles or crushed candy on top!

Ingredients

  • 8 canned homestyle biscuits

FOR THE GLAZE

  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp milk or water
  • 1-2 drops gel food coloring

SUGGESTED TOPPINGS

  • sprinkles
  • crushed oreos
  • candy

Instructions

  1. using a bottle cap as a guide, cut a small round hole in the center of each biscuit. discard excess dough or save to make donut holes!
  2. spray air fryer basket with cooking oil and cook donuts at 350°F for 10 minutes.
  3. if you don’t have an air fryer, bake the biscuits according to package directions or fry in vegetable oil at 350°F until lightly golden.
  4. while donuts are frying, combine powdered sugar, vanilla extract, milk and food coloring to form glaze.
  5. remove donuts from the air fryer and allow to cool several minutes before dipping in the glaze. top with sprinkles, cookies, candies, or anything else you like!
